Welcome to the Tailor Shop
Picture a lovely summer evening, as you stroll the streets of New York. An illuminated shop a few steps below street level catches your eye, casting a beautiful glow. Inside, a tailor stitches contentedly, his classical music wafting out to the sidewalk. It’s a beautiful snapshot of craft.
With this image in mind, I named my home office “the tailor shop.”
Welcome to my digital tailor shop, where I work on and display my craft.
What I'm Working On

Short stories
A short story punches above its weight, miraculously creating a world and meaning in a few thousand words. It’s one of my favorite genres to read, and short stories are great fun to write, too. These are some of my favorites from over the years.
Blog
Thoughts and musings, never on a schedule. Here I write about reading, writing, art, and whatever is on my mind. I’ve been blogging for more than a decade and find there’s no better way to record thoughts and ideas, even if they are never read by anyone else.
Graphite Drawing
Always prefering simple to elaborate, the colorless art of pencil has become my meditation. Check out some of my recent pieces.
Watercolor
It’s a tough medium, that’s for sure. But from time to time I’ve dabbled in it, with variable results.
pastels
Also tough. And not my favorite medium to look at. But that hasn’t stopped me from giving it a go!
